Come Fly with Us!
Come Fly with Us!">Mobility Choice is delighted to welcome a number of organisations to this year`s show to advise and encourage visitors to take up flying -  not only to talk about it but to take flight themselves and experience the thrill, viewing the show from a whole new perspective!

In the Flying Zone you will find the following organisations:

Above: FSD scholar Mandy Pantall, who now works with Fly2help.org at Kemble

British Disabled Flying Association (BDFA)
British Microlight Aircraft Association (BMAA)
Aviation for Paraplegics & Tetraplegics (APT)
Flying Scholarships for the Disabled (FSD)
Kemble-based Fly2help.org

You can take to the skies over the Cotswolds at this year`s show with trial flights in a Cherokee 2-seater plane with BDFA, or in Flexwing Microlights with Kemble Flying School, or book to take trial lessons at a later date.  Come and meet disabled pilots, talk to them about their own experiences, and view static adapted aircraft.  To take part in the trial flights, visitors must be reasonably fit and have good upper body strength to manoeuvre themselves into the aircraft. To fly in the open cockpit flexwing microlight aircraft you will be required to wear an insulated flying suit. These have zips from hip to ankle and waist to chin. Also a flying crash helmet will need to be worn.

Trial flights last between 25-40 minutes and will cost £45.

Flights will be subject to availability and prevailing weather conditions on the day.  To register your interest in taking a flight at the show click here, putting `Flying` as the subject followed by your details and which type of aircraft you would prefer (Cherokee or Microlight) and which day you intend to visit the show.

For further details on BDFA or Kemble School visit www.kembleflyingclub.co.uk and www.bdfa.net

On Thursday 19th July we look forward to welcoming Polly Vacher MBE to the show.  Polly, who holds the record for the smallest aircraft to be flown solo around the world by a woman via Australia and the Pacific, is flying into Kemble as part of her Wings Around Britain challenge to raise awareness of the charity Flying Scholarships for the Disabled, who will be at the show - see www.toreachforthesky.org.uk.  From 21st May to 31st July Polly will fly to all 206 airfields in Jeppesen`s manual of the British Isles, and she intends to fly as many disabled passengers as she can to highlight FSD`s work.  Visit the Wings Around Britain website at www.worldwings.org to see how YOU could join Polly on the next leg of her journey from Kemble to Wycombe!
