| NEWS RELEASE: Get Sporty at the Mobility Roadshow
| 1 February 2007 - If you have a disability and feel you are missing out on sports activities, you`ll have the opportunity to take part in a variety of different games at this year`s Mobility Roadshow. It takes place on 19, 20 and 21 July at Kemble Airfield near Cirencester.
The organisers have partnered with Disability Sport Events (DSE) to stage an interactive Sport and Fitness Arena during all three days of the show, providing a showcase of disability sport talent with demonstrations and participation for visitors. DSE representatives will be on hand to discuss the wide range of sporting opportunities that are available to all. Gordon Neale OBE, director of events for DSE said: This is great news for Disability Sport Events. The Mobility Roadshow is a highly acclaimed exhibition for disabled people and we are proud to work alongside the organisers to provide a multi-dimensional show. We hope visitors will come and show their support for disability sport over the three days.
Jacqui Jones, director of projects and events for Mobility Choice, organiser of the Roadshow commented: This is another very exciting addition to our event. We introduced a small pilot sports arena at Mobility Roadshow Scotland last year that proved extremely popular. We hope to see some of the more well known sports such as wheelchair basketball and wheelchair rugby, along with lesser know games such as new age curling and boccia - and that this will become an annual feature of the Roadshow.
The Sport and Fitness Arena will feature alongside the new Holiday Village and Lifestyle Zone at this year`s Mobility Roadshow which, while maintaining the focus on independent mobility, will offer even wider choice to visitors to this long-established consumer event. From around 200 exhibitors disabled and older people will have the opportunity to view and try out - in one place - a wide range of vehicles, adaptations and conversions, scooters and wheelchairs, mobility aids, information and gain impartial advice.
With free parking and entry, crèche, wheelchair and scooter loans, and entertainment for young visitors, this is a great day out for all the family. For the latest news on this year`s Mobility Roadshow keep in touch at www.mobilityroadshow.co.uk or call 0845 241 0390.
