Vapor Ricon who support the accessibility of travel for those with limited mobility is to launch its latest wheelchair lift at The Mobility Roadshow 2016.
Vapor Ricon, already renowned for its vehicle lifts, hoists and ramps has designed the ‘Ultra-lite’ lift to be used in passenger vehicles such as minibuses and domestic people carriers which are facing ever increasing and demanding weight restrictions.
“We felt that it was important to develop a wheelchair lift that was suitable for smaller domestic and commercial vehicles yet still delivered the performance and reliability commensurate with the Vapor Ricon brand,” said Terry Chevens sales manager Vapor Ricon Europe. “It has all the strength but less of the weight and comes in at circa 100kg (lift model dependant) making it one of the lightest lifts on the market and assisting with advanced fuel economy”
The S-Series Ultra-lite wheelchair lift has a non intrusive space saving footprint giving unparalleled interior access. Furthermore, the easy operation and maintenance for which Vapor Ricon is renowned is replicated in the latest addition to its product portfolio. It will also help address maximum vehicle weight issues and ensure that the inclusion of a quality lift will not impact on other additions required.
“This new lightweight wheelchair vehicle lift is a welcome addition to our existing product range and will give our customers even greater choice in finding a vehicle lift to suit their exact needs and specification,” said Terry. “Its split platform design and powerful hydraulic pump ensures that the lift whilst weighing less lacks in no other area of its production quality and use.”
The Vapor Ricon team can be found on stand H2-56 at Mobility Roadshow and will be able to offer guidance and support on its full range of vehicular access products including the Ultra-Lite. The show takes place between 26th – 28th May at Silverstone Circuit. In addition, the new Ultra-lite lift from the K-Series range, with folding platform, can be seen and demonstrated in the Ford Transit Custom, one of Vapor Ricon’s demo vehicles.
The K-Series Ultra-lite lift will be available shortly after the S-Series and will feature a distinctive colour scheme so that the models can be differentiated between.
Terry concluded; ”There are over 1.2 million wheelchair users in the UK and accessing and using vehicles needs to be a priority to the wellbeing and satisfaction of everyone. We shall look forward to welcoming visitors to our stand where our Ultra-lite wheelchair lift will be available to view.”
The Ultra-lite wheelchair lift is available in a number of size configurations to suit your needs. This includes the new one meter wide entrance ideal for larger bariatric stretches and is capable of up to a 500kg safe working load.
Vapor Ricon is proud to offer a wide range of domestic and commercial products to aid vehicular access for those with limited mobility.
