The hands-on event is aimed at anyone wanting to regain or maintain their independent mobility, and for the first time in the event’s history, visitors will be able to try out a Hyundai on the world-famous race track. Hyundai will showcase its latest models available through its Motability Scheme, with test drives available for the ix20, i30, Tucson and Santa Fe models.
Tony Whitehorn, President and CEO, Hyundai Motor UK, said, “Hyundai’s range of efficient, versatile and comfortable cars are perfect for buyers who value their mobility and are looking for a high quality, cost efficient vehicle. Customers who get behind the wheel of our cars at the Mobility Roadshow will be impressed by the quality and high specification on offer.
“In particular, the models available for test drive with automatic gearboxes and a range of helpful convenience features offer the simplest and easiest route to regaining or maintaining mobility. Plus, visitors who test drive the all-new Tucson will quickly realise why it has become our fastest-selling car.”
As well as offering test drives, Hyundai Motor UK will have a static display of four models on show, including the multi award-winning i10 city car, i30 hatchback, as well as the Tucson and Santa Fe SUVs.
This year, the Hyundai i10 scooped the What Car? ‘Best City Car’ prize for the third consecutive year, and is the company’s most awarded car. A number of versions of the i10 are available through Motability with no advance payment necessary, and from as little as £50 per week.
The Hyundai models available for test drive at the Roadshow include the ix20, i30 hatchback, Tucson and Santa Fe.
Hyundai’s versatile Santa Fe is the most recent to be offered on the company’s Motability Scheme, bringing a blend of luxury and safety, four-wheel drive and a choice of five or seven seats to a new set of customers.
The smart and spacious all-new Tucson is available with a raft of convenience and safety features, including the helpful Smart Parking Assist System and hands-free Smart Electric Tailgate.
Like the Santa Fe and Tucson, the smaller ix20 also offers a higher seating position, affording drivers a great view of the road ahead. Meanwhile, the i30 is packed with clever technology, including a rear-view parking camera and touch-screen satellite navigation on SE Nav models.
The majority of Hyundai’s range is available through the Motability Scheme, including i10, i20, ix20, i30, Tucson and Santa Fe. Specially trained experts are on hand at every Motability accredited Hyundai dealer, to guide customers through the process, step by step. In addition, every dealer showroom has wheelchair access and disabled parking bays.
The Mobility Roadshow first took place in 1983, and has been an annual fixture since 1999. A true ‘hands-on’ event, the Roadshow offers test drives of adapted and converted vehicles, either as a driver or passenger. The vehicles are fitted with dual controls for safety, and a qualified professional driver accompanies visitors on test drives.
