Ready Willing & Mobile Competition 2006 is launched!

The Roadshow`s `bright ideas` competition for schoolchildren across the UK is up & running for 2006.

The Ready Willing and Mobile 2006 competition is calling for bright ideas from young people to help disabled children integrate into everyday life at school, at home and at play. Celebrating National Young Disabled Persons` Day on 8th June, the competition is being organised by the Mobility Roadshow, the world`s largest event of its kind for people with disabilities.

Disability can be unknown territory for many children. This competition encourages them to consider disability, accessibility and inclusivity from a younger age.

The winner will receive for their school £1,000 cash for equipment and STAEDTLER stationery and art and craft materials worth £250. For themselves they will take home a Sony Cybershot T33 digital camera, £100 worth of HarperCollins books of their choice, a Calvert Trust activity weekend and a VIP visit to the opening day of the Mobility Roadshow on 8th June where they will be presented with their prize by Tanni Grey-Thompson DBE, one of the world`s greatest paralaympic athletes. There are runners-up prizes, too.

Full details are on the Competition section of the website at www.mobilityroadshow.co.uk/competitionwhere you can download an entry pack, see full terms and conditions, read about the judges and find stories about children with disabilities that could spark a bright idea.

Anyone between ages 7 and 14 can enter (in two age categories: full details on the website). All that is required is a brief written description of the bright idea, together with a labelled drawing. Entries close 30th April.

Good luck!
