Charity-run Mobility Roadshow incorporating Get Going Live! returns to get more disabled drivers behind the wheel

16th May 2017

Now in its 34th year, the Mobility Roadshow organised by Goose Live Events on behalf of the charity Mobility Choice, will deliver an unequalled event experience with the latest adapted and wheelchair-accessible vehicles and mobility innovations on display.

With Ford headlining as the major motor manufacturer and a wide range of other makes and models available, visitors will be able to test-drive the latest adapted vehicles on a safe and controlled test track. All attendees will be able to assess which vehicle is right for them whether planning to purchase in the future or lease through Motability.

In addition to the unique test drive opportunities the Mobility Roadshow provides:

The largest range of adapted driving controls - no other show brings together such a diverse range

Get Going Live! - a test drive and advice service for those new to adapted driving

All that's new in products and services - for greater independence - wheelchairs, scooters, ramps, hoists and much more

Accessible sports - taster sessions of boccia, advanced curling, soft archery, wheelchair basketball and more

Older drivers conference - free to attend and open to all visitors (in association with Age UK, Ageas and Mobility Choice)

Meet and share experiences - with other visitors and the amazing show Ambassadors

Ann Frye, Chair of Mobility Choice, summarises: “We are delighted to be bringing The Mobility Roadshow back to the NAEC Stoneleigh. The venue has undergone considerable investment since our last visit, providing modern and accessible facilities for an enhanced visitor experience. The Mobility Roadshow 2017 will provide a wide ranging showcase of mobility products, accessible vehicles and adaptations that can enrich the lives of people living with disabilities. Visitors will discover a wide variety of adapted driving controls and vehicles to suit their personal needs together with the many demonstrations and interactive displays and sports on offer. We look forward to another busy and rewarding show that focuses on ability, not disability.”

The Mobility Roadshow 2017: beyond independence.

FREE admission, FREE parking and FULLY accessible. Inspirational racing driver Nicholas Hamilton, brother of F1 star Lewis Hamilton, will officially open the show at 10am, 1st June.
