Why Exhibit?

The Mobility Roadshow is the original, biggest and best hands-on mobility and lifestyle event, meeting the nation’s mobility needs for over 30 years.

Always at the forefront of innovation in this sector, the Mobility Roadshow is the original consumer mobility and lifestyle event targeted primarily at the end-user – your customers.

Since 1983 the show has attracted thousands of visitors from all over the UK and abroad who seek to improve their quality of life with products and services to aid all aspects of independent mobility. While the opportunity to test drive a wide variety of adapted and specialist vehicles - whether as a driver or a passenger – remains at the heart of this highly respected national consumer event, the Roadshow also offers a showcase of all that’s new in the mobility market alongside classics and mainstream products, services and information that can benefit everyone.

The show also offers the ideal networking platform for international exhibitors who either already work, or are looking to trade, in the UK and European markets.

Read more about Thameside Wheelchair Dancing's Experience

Thameside Wheelchair Dancing is a small group working in Southend on Sea since 2006 to provide an activity for people with disabilities. We are able bodied dancers teaching ballroom, Latin American, social and line dancing in two forms, duo that is two dancers in wheelchairs dancing together and combi, a standing partner dancing with a person in a wheelchair. For six years we attended the Mobility Road Show dancing and encouraging public participation in wheelchair dancing, in conjunction with RGK on the demonstration floor. Originally, Mobility sponsored our stand and we financed our travel and accommodation. Later, because we were unable to finance the stand we were unable to continue.

Six years visiting the Mobility Road Show helped Thameside Wheelchair Dancing to spread the word of a new activity for people with disabilities. Whilst there we made contact with PHAB and were invited to attend their National and Regional Conferences. Through association with Jumbulance, a charity providing special transport for disability groups, we twice visited to Guernsey to help set up a new wheelchair dance group. RGK helped us provide six dance chairs for a school for children with disabilities, in Southend on Sea .We have since visited and worked with a dance teacher in Dublin who came to England to qualify as a wheelchair dance instructor. It’s a great show.

Perhaps the most memorable experience we had, was whilst attending our second show at Peterborough. During one of our public participation dance sessions we recognised a young girl wheelchair user from the previous year. Mother and daughter proudly announced that during the year she had gained a Girl Guide activity badge, demonstrating the dance routine she had learnt at the show the previous year. This makes it all worthwhile.
