Long-term supporters of The Mobility Roadshow, Lewis Reed (WAV) Ltd will be showcasing the NEW MERCEDES-BENZ V-CLASS GRANDE at this year’s NAEC Stoneleigh event in June.
The leading UK supplier and specialist convertor of wheelchair accessible vehicles (WAVs) will also be offering free WAV test drives for visitors around the Stoneleigh circuit in the VW Caddy Maxi new Short Floor and the VW Medium Roof Transporter Nelhi.
Available from Spring 2017, the new Mercedes V-Class Grande is the latest addition to the Lewis Reed portfolio of wheelchair accessible vehicles and is unique as the headroom space has been increased from 53”/135cm to 57”/145cm. Taking Lewis Reed to a new level in terms of luxury, comfort and choice, unrivalled in the UK, the V-Class Grande will be available in two models: the Sport and AMG line and in the extra-long wheelbase.
Every vehicle supplied by Lewis Reed is bespoke and customised to ensure it meets the requirements of the individual which can vary incredibly from one user to the next. The V-Class Grande comes with a comprehensive range of control options and flexible seating positions to offer practical solutions for the user and their carer or family. The adaptable floor mounted rail system is quick and easy to use providing a choice of up to 6 passenger seating and wheelchair positions.
To ensure entering and exiting the vehicle is as easy as possible, the V-Class Grande is fitted with electric sliding doors on both sides. A side lift is also available as an optional extra. For wheelchair access, the large automatic powered tailgate opens to enable a remote-controlled rear lift or lowered floor and lowering suspension. Once again Lewis Reed has successfully developed a new and unique product in the form of the new Mercedes-Benz V-Class Grande.
Lewis Reed’s Mobility Roadshow test drive vehicles for 2017 include the VW Caddy Maxi new Short Floor. Lewis Reed are experts on converting this vehicle and it now comes with a new lower advance Motability price making it far more financially attainable. It offers all of the design and dynamic styling that come with the great winning combination and assurance of both the VW and the Lewis Reed brands. Mobility Roadshow visitors may also test drive the VW Medium Roof Transporter Nelhi. Lewis Reed has taken the VW Transporter and not only changed the roof height to allow more internal height but has also put a ramp on the rear to make the entrance height higher. This sophisticated and clever design provides enormous internal headroom which now accommodates most wheelchair sizes.
Lewis Reed look forward to welcoming Mobility Roadshow visitors and to sharing information on their full range of wheelchair accessible vehicles.
