Virtual ‘personal shopper’ service
A show of this size can be daunting, particularly if you are newly disabled or just don’t know where to start. Our new virtual personal shopper service is here to help: nearer the time you'll be able to e-mail us with a list of what you’re looking for at the show, and our helpful team will reply with details of relevant exhibitors and their stand numbers – plus we will alert the exhibitors so that they can be ready to welcome you to their stand.
Design Zone
Launched at the 2011 Roadshow, the interactive Design Zone will be back, bigger and better in 2012. Here designers, innovators and Roadshow visitors can meet in an open forum to exchange ideas about looks and functionality of current and future independent living products. The Zone is hosted by Enabled by Design and Such and Such design, in association with the Royal College of Art Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design.
Sports & Leisure Activities
The interactive RGK Sports Arena offers you the chance to get involved with disability sports and fitness - details of all activities coming soon. And no Roadshow event is complete without the ever-popular accessible Climbing Wall – check out the show from a new perspective!
Catering
There will be a range of options on site: the Cambridge Suite Restaurant offers a variety of hot and cold meals and snacks in a seated indoor area, located near the Information Village, while a number of concessions will be located in the outdoor Food Court area with some seating under canopies. There will be a couple of extra tea/coffee/snack facilities around the site and in the car park too.
Bring the Family
As well as the serious business of seeking out a new vehicle, looking for a particular service or general mobility information, there is plenty for everyone to do at the Roadshow. Saturday is a real family day, with jugglers, facepainters, and other entertainers.

Don't just take our word for it - here are just some of the quotes from past visitors and exhibitors at the show:
"Since learning of the Mobility Roadshow we attend every year, even travelling as far as Scotland: it is such a useful event. We love to review the cars and conversions and visit all the stands. People actually take time to talk to you. Each year we find different things and every year it gets better. We even joined the National Trust here - up until then I had no idea how accessible many of their properties are." - Susan Thompson, King's Lynn, Norfolk.
“I visited with my sister who has a disability and following the visit to your show, we actually purchased a new motorised chair from Simply Health. It was the chair that rises up higher so is much better for her around the house so she can access things at a higher level. She is thrilled with it. She also got a car with a hoist! Both items seen at your roadshow.
We would encourage anybody with a disability or who has a friend/partner/relative with a disability to visit one of your roadshows to get a good idea of what is out there to make life a little easier and more independent.” - Sally Humphreys, Middlesex
“We love this show because we know that it is 100% accessible. All the doors, toilets, cafe etc, and plenty of room to get around the exhibits. As a motorhome club we attend some of the large motorhome shows, but even in this day and age, access is a problem to us.
We had a great time having a go at things too, test driving adapted cars is a big plus, as in the past I have had to order my car without being able to 'drive' it to make sure it’s suitable. Some of us climbed the wall - the guys there have got so much patience; nothing is too much trouble for them. To sum it all up, we had a fantastic time!” - Karen Smith, Anglesey, North Wales
“I am looking forward to this opportunity to find a vehicle that is comfortable and therefore safe to drive. I need head and legroom but a showroom demo isn't enough. I need to operate the vehicle and your shows are the only opportunity.” – John Ankers, Shropshire
“This well organised show has proved an extremely useful day. To be able to see hundreds of products and vehicles together on one site has been brilliant.” - Gaile Walls, Birmingham
“We now consider The Mobility Roadshow crucial to our marketing programme. Since we launched our first Trekinetic All Terrain wheelchair here in 2006 we haven't looked back. This is the UK show that delivers the most quality prime target end user customers." - Mike Spindle, Trekinetic
"As one of the UK's leading providers of mobility scooters, we are delighted that the annual Mobility Roadshow is being held in Peterborough, offering disabled and older people from the east of England the opportunity to review all their mobility options without having to make a long journey. The Roadshow is the biggest consumer event of its kind and a key opportunity for people with mobility issues to tell us exactly what they need." - Tim Ross TGA Electric Leisure
“IWe were delighted to
be back at the event and it gave us a huge opportunity to showcase our new
models to this key market for Vauxhall. It is such a worthwhile event and
the whole team really enjoy it.
.” - Hayley Ingram, Motability
Sales & Marketing Manager, Vauxhall Motors
“The Mobility Roadshow is the major consumer event in this market - it’s the best place to meet disabled people, their families and carers. We always get an excellent response at this show.” - Hayley Smith, Such and Such Designs
