Ready, Willing & Mobile Competition 2010 - Terms & Conditions/Rules of Entry

Terms and Conditions

1. Entry assumes parental consent. All entrants must obtain permission from parent/guardian before entering this competition.

2. A panel, selected at the promoter’s discretion, will judge entries.  Competition will be judged in two age categories – 7-11 and 12-16 years old. There will be a winner and runner-up from each age category, with an outright competition winner chosen from the two category winners.  The outright winner will receive the £1000 cheque and £250-worth of STAEDTLER art and crafts materials for their school.

3. Potential winning submissions will be subject to approval by Mobility Choice and Ravenstone Public Relations Ltd.

4. The judges’ decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

5. The prize is non transferable, non refundable and non negotiable. No cash alternative will be offered.

6. The category winners and all runners-up will be notified as soon as possible after judging has been completed. The names of the winners and all runners up will be available on the Mobility Roadshow website at www.mobilityroadshow.co.uk after Monday 5th July 2010.

7. Entries that do not contain the required information or are submitted in an incorrect format will not be accepted as valid entries.

8. Responsibility cannot be accepted for those entries lost, damaged or delayed in transmission. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery or receipt.

9. Entries cannot be returned.

10. Entry into the competition is deemed as full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and Rules of Entry and all entrants agree to be bound by them. Please take time to read these Terms and Conditions and Rules of Entry carefully and ask a parent/guardian or teacher/club representative if you are unsure or unable to understand them.

11. The promoter of the Ready, Willing and Mobile 2010 competition is registered charity Mobility Choice, organiser of The Mobility Roadshow.

12. Mobility Choice reserves the right to cancel this competition at any stage if deemed necessary in its opinion and if circumstances arise outside of its control.

13. These Rules of Entry and the Terms and Conditions of the Competition are governed by English law.

Rules of Entry

1. Entrants must be aged 7-16 years old at date of entry and be a United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland resident. Parental or guardian consent must be obtained before entering this competition.

2. Entries must be submitted as a visual interpretation accompanied by a written description (no more than two sheets, illustration on one side of one page, descriptive text on separate sheet).  Details of entrant’s name, age, address, telephone number, e-mail address, school or club/group name and address and named school or club/group representative must be clearly written on the back of each page.

3. Size of entry must be a minimum of A4 (297mm x 210mm) and maximum A3 (420mm x 297mm), portrait or landscape  – entries submitted in other sizes will not be considered.  All entrants and school or club/group representative agree that all entries become the sole and absolute property of the promoter and agree to assign all intellectual rights in the entries to the promoter. Promoter has the right to publish, display, reproduce, adapt, promote and otherwise use entries in any way they see fit. The promoters also have the exclusive right to use entries and excerpts of the entries in any advertising and promotional materials (visual, sound, print and/or electronic form).  Winning and short listed entrants must agree to participation in interviews/publicity in a range of media.

4. The closing date for entries is 31st March 2010; shortlisted listed entries will be announced shortly thereafter.  Judging will take place in May 2010.

5. Entries will be judged on their overall originality, ingenuity and practicality, with the main focus on “active mobility for young disabled people” in everyday life and sporting activities.

6. The two category winners must be available with a school or club/group representative on Saturday 3rd July 2010 to collect their prize at the Mobility Roadshow, East of England Showground, Peterborough.

7. Travel expenses to East of England showground (EXEC) and return will be paid for the winners, their parent or legal guardian if required, and school or club/group representative.

8. Winners must reply to the prize administrator within five working days of the prize notification. If the winner or any runner-up prizewinner has not contacted the prize administrator within this time the prize will be withdrawn and another winner or runner up prizewinner selected.

9. Entries will be accepted individually or as a joint entry (up to a maximum of 2 persons). The prize for winners and runners-up is the same whether for an individual or joint entry, i.e. any winning entry will receive only one prize per entry and not per person.  Entries should be posted in a sealed envelope to Madeline Weatherley, Mobility Roadshow, Crowthorne House, Nine Mile Ride, Wokingham, Berkshire RG40 3GA.  There is no limit to the number of entries per person but no one may win more than one prize.

10. Any persons (including employees, associates or contractors) directly or indirectly involved with Mobility Choice and the organisers of the Ready, Willing and Mobile 2010 competition, and their relatives, are not eligible for entry.

11. All entrants must supply the full details as required above and comply with the Terms and Conditions of the competition and Rules of Entry.

12. Responsibility cannot be accepted for incomplete or ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently.
