Star Opening for Mobility Roadshow
Star Opening for Mobility Roadshow">26 March 2007 - Vicki Butler-Henderson, TV`s most popular female motoring celebrity, is making a guest appearance to open this year`s Mobility Roadshow -19 to 21 July at Kemble Airfield near Cirencester. Currently presenter of Channel 5`s Fifth Gear motoring show (back on air in April) she is looking forward to sharing her passion for motoring and motorsport with Roadshow visitors.

Previously a co-host of BBC`s Top Gear, Vicki has also presented Touring Cars on ITV1 and Formula Woman on ITV`s Speed Sunday. In 2004 she became the first woman to win a Maserati race. Her energy and sense of fun have encouraged many women - and men - to get behind the wheel in the fast lane.

Vicki will also announce and present prizes to the winners of the Roadshow`s annual Ready Willing and Mobile competition that seeks bright ideas from school children nationwide to help less-able young people to be more mobile - at home, at school and at play.

This is the only event where you can test drive - either as a disabled driver or passenger - a wide range of adapted vehicles. This is invaluable to help assess your personal motoring needs - and a far cry from being taken for a drive by your local dealer when considering buying a new vehicle.

Already confirmed in the motoring arena are manufacturers Chevrolet, Citroen, Ford, Hyundai, Mercedes, Nissan, Saab, Smart, Toyota and Vauxhall, and a range of other marques on show from companies including Aspect Conversions, Brotherwood, Fiat, Hill Gruau, Jubilee Automotive, Lewis Reed and Sirus Automotive.  (A full list os all exhibitors can be found in visitor news.)

As well as vehicles, adaptations and conversions there will be scooters, trikes and wheelchairs, mobility aids for indoor and outdoor living and recreation, plus a large number of information and charity organisations offering information and impartial advice.

The show expands this year with new additions that include an interactive Sport and Fitness Arena, providing a showcase of disability sport talent with demonstrations and participation for visitors. The flying zone is adding additional adapted light aircraft, offering more visitors the opportunity to take to the skies.

In the new Holiday Village and Lifestyle Zone visitors can explore numerous ideas for holidays and leisure pursuits and meet representatives from hotels, cruise lines, accessible transport and mobility equipment suppliers from around the world.

With free parking and entry, crèche, wheelchair and scooter loans, and entertainment for young visitors, this is a great day out for all the family. For the latest news on this year`s Mobility Roadshow keep in touch at www.mobilityroadshow.co.uk or call 0845 241 0390.
