| Zoe Collins, a pupil at Perry Hall Primary School, Orpington was announced winner of the 7-11 age group and outright winner of the competition. Her winning idea was for Arch Pal`, a special wheelchair for young budding archaeologists. It can be raised or lowered at the touch of a button to allow easy access on archaeological digs and has easily accessible tools and equipment, such as a sieve and a selection of storage areas for finds`.
Winner of the older age group was Jack Pegram from Bushey, Hertfordshire. Jack`s idea was for an automatic wheel cleaner, based on his own experience as a wheelchair user. Jack, who has cerebral palsy, often returns with muddy wheels after walking his dog in the park and playing with friends. His mum has to lift him out of his chair and take it to the back of the house to clean the wheels.
