Hi! My name is Harri and I am 11 years old. I have cerebral palsy and am a wheelchair user. I live in Wales and really love sport. I support Swansea City football team and The Ospreys rugby team. I am a season ticket holder and go to as many matches as possible.
I like to keep active and take part in lots of sporting activities. I train with the Welsh Talent academy in athletics, swimming and boccia. Last April I took part in the London Mini Marathon and managed to knock 9 minutes off my previous time. I am competing again this year and hope to do even better. I also broke the British under 15 records at 60 and 100m and won a gold medal in 200m at the British Junior Games. In November I won the British Boccia championships for my classification. I swim 3 or 4 times a week and went to Ireland with the Welsh squad for a training camp. That was great fun but hard work.
I am also very proud to be the Welsh representative on the Whizz-Kidz kids` board. In my time on the board we have met Ed Balls the MP and asked him to improve wheelchair services for all children. I think it is really important that all children receive the right equipment. It can be difficult getting around in a wheelchair and it is even harder if you don`t have the right chair.
In my spare time I like to go to the beach if we ever get enough decent weather in this country. I like to body board but it is difficult to get out in to the waves. I also like to ski and train every month with a local group called Ice Cool Kids.
Last year we were one of the families on the CBBC programme Hider in the House. It was fantastic. We got to do some crazy games, make lots of mess, win some fabulous prizes and meet Colin Jackson and JK and Joel. It was wicked. Just because I`m in a wheelchair doesn`t mean I don`t like to have fun it just means that sometimes I have to find a different way to do things. Anything is possible if you try hard enough!
